Worked with Enrich Agro-Industry to develop packaging for their new product, finely ground barley, which comes in a variety of forms for both culinary and supplemental uses. The client asked for the product cover to have an "Ethiopian-made" feeling to it to convey the nostalgia of the countryside with a modern feel that would appeal to buyers.
The design strategy was based on fusing a contemporary look with nostalgia for rural Ethiopia. A feeling of the countryside was evoked by carefully selecting visual components that included motifs and images typical of rural life.
